Blueberry Time in Georgia!

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Beautiful Blueberries! There is a a "Pick Your Own" Blueberry Farm near my home.
The blueberries are at peak season in June.

All washed and ready to cook down with sugar! After they are put in the processed jars and sealed, they are put back in the canner again for a "hot water bath!" Now all we need are some hot buttered biscuits!
Much Love, Jan

Kyra and I have a pile of cookbooks we were going through last night looking for blueberry recipes. We just picked up 8lbs from a local church farmer.

Your preserves look so delicious and easy to make. Um...let me grab Miss K and see is she thinks we should give 'er a go.
much love,

Wow that looks so delicious Jan!! Georgia must be an absolutely beautiful place! I have never had the pleasure of going there.

I was so thrilled that you stopped by my blog! To answer your questions, I am able to go on this trip to Colombia because I have become an advocate for Compassion. Basically that entails just telling people about Compassion, essentially trying to get children sponsored. They have trips that are specifically for advocates to go and learn more about the ministry of Compassion, and physically see how they really make a difference in the lives of the children.

Our trip will be focused around Bogota. We will be going to several projects in the area, and we also have the honour of visting some children in their homes. As a highlight, I am able to meet the children that I sponsor, and I am so excited to meet them.

Sadly, I don't know if I would be able to visit your sponsor child because the travel arrangements have already been made for the kids to come to Bogota. But I would definitely LOVE to hear all about Iduar.

In Christ,

Kerrie
